Japanese Tea boxes

This is my latest craft. I have covered the tea boxes in washi paper.
I never thought I would get the bug for 'Tea boxes' like some of the other ladies here.

Some of the boxes I have seen covered are amazing.
I have even some beautiful fabric covered tea boxes.

Washi paper is lovely to work with. While I love one box with the boy and the Koi fish I am still looking for a feminine version for the matching box.

I have decided to make the smaller one of the boxes as a bedside table in our guest room.
I have another one to make. I have bought a similar top paper and a red paper to match the top paper. Once finished I will take pictures.

I went to a class once and decided it was not for me...until I seen some of my friends handy work.
I have cleaned all the masking tape off

I choose a blue, but not as dark as I would have liked

The large box is my favorite, now I would like to find a feminine version for the match box I have yet to cover
